I have always loved country music for its storytelling, and have long admired the songwriters who can craft a story into a three to four minute song and make me cry, laugh, or ponder.  So perhaps it shouldn't have been a surprise when I became a songwriter myself.  But as a petroleum engineer (now retired), I never saw it coming until I wrote “Convince My Heart” to a friend of mine after her tragic death.  I have now written over forty songs and released my fourth album, “Haggard and Hell".
